Facebook says their goal is to make shopping seamless and empower anyone from a small business owner to a global brand to use their apps to connect with customers.
Fidji Simo, head of the Facebook app at Facebook has also said:
“We are also soon making it possible to shop on Live by letting brands, creators, and sellers tag products from their Facebook Shops or catalogs for people to easily tap to discover more and purchase. Brands and creators have always used Live as a way to showcase products through tutorials, launches and more, so we’re excited about this.
Finally, we are also testing ways for you to connect to loyalty programs on Facebook so you can earn rewards with businesses that you love and keep track of them in one place.”
